AMD’s ‘sweet spot’ Radeon HD 7870 and 7850 graphics cards get reviewed, recommended

AMD’s Radeon HD 7000-series onslaught continues, with still no 28nm retort from NVIDIA. The latest offerings are the 7870 priced at $349, and the 7850 priced at $249.

Wacom announces Intuos5 graphics tablets, we go hands-on! (video)

It’s a couple of months since we spotted paperwork for a mysterious “PTK-450″ device at the FCC and now Wacom has finally revealed the gadget that goes with the label. The Intuos5 tablet is available to purchase immediately in Small (4 x 6 inches), Medium (6 x 8) and Large (13 x 8) sizes, priced at £200, £330 and £430 respectively.

AMD  has revealed its newest video card at CES 2012 , the AMD Radeon HD 7970, using the the world’s first 28nm GPU and Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture. Packing 3GB of DDR5 video memory, two DVI outputs, two Mini-DisplayPorts and a single HDMI, the Radeon HD 7970 can be combined in up to quad-card CrossFireX setups for frankly ridiculous gaming performance. Alternatively you can just use AMD Eyefinity and string a number of displays off of a single card
